Police arrests drug peddler in Pulwama; Psychotropic substance recovered

December 19(PTK): Continuing its efforts to eradicate the menace of drugs from the society, Police have arrested a drug peddler in Pulwama and recovered psychotropic substance from his possession.

Officers from Police Station Pulwama have arrested one drug peddler identified as Anjum Bashir son of Bashir Ahmad Nayak resident of Pinglin from Pinglin Pulwama. During checking, officers were able to recover Codeine from his possession. He has been shifted to Police Station where he remains in custody.

Accordingly, a case vide FIR No. 339/21 under relevant sections of law has been registered at Police Station Pulwama and further investigation has been initiated.

Our consistent actions against drug peddlers should reassure the community members that we are making continuous efforts to keep our society free from the scourge of drug menace. :-PTK.
