Police arrests 04 gamblers in Ganderbal, stake money seized

JUNE (PTK): Acting tough against the social crimes, police in a series of actions have arrested 04 gamblers in Ganderbal and seized stake money from their possession.

Acting on specific information regarding gambling activities at Haripora, a police party of Police Station Ganderbal raided the specific spot and arrested 04 gamblers. They have been identified as Hilal Ahmad Rather son of Ghulam Hassan resident of Haripora, Fayaz Ahmad Sheikh son of Ghulam Mohammad resident of Dursoma, Mushtaq Ahmad Mir son of Ghulam Qadir resident of Banhama, Zahoor Ahmad Rather son of Ghulam Mohammad resident of Haripora. Officers have seized stake money of ₹6,000/- and playing cards from their possession.

Accordingly, a case vide FIR No. 147/2023 under relevant sections of law has been registered at Police Station Ganderbal and investigation has been initiated.

People found indulging in criminal activities shall be dealt as per law. Community members are requested to share information regarding the crimes in their neighbourhood with the local police units. (PTK)
