PhD Scholar from Srinagar goes missing while trekking in Ganderbal

Srinagar June 16(PTK)A youth who was on picnic along with his friends has gone missing in Central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district.

Sources said that on Monday a group consisting of 6 to 7 youth from Srinagar had arrived Naranag Wangath area of Kangan for picnic.

On the same day they proposed to visit Gangabal for trekking but one of their companions decided to stay back.

After coming back from trekking, they found their companion missing in Naranag.

Though they searched for him, yet the missing youth was untraceable.

A police officer said that efforts are on to locate the missing youth, He identified the youth as Hilal Ahmed Dar son of Gulam Mohiuddin Dar of Bemina Srinagar.

The search for the youth is underway.

The youth has been identified as Hilal Ahmad Dar of Bemina in Srinagar.(PTK)
