PDP Convenes Workers’ Meeting in Qazigund, Outlines Extensive Outreach Strategy

The People’s Democratic Party (PDP) convened a pivotal workers’ meeting in Qazigund, with Parliamentary Board Chairman and former Deputy Speaker *Mohammad Sartaj Madni* at the helm. The gathering witnessed the participation of esteemed figures such as former Minister and Senior Party Leader *Ab Gaffar Sofi*, District President *Adv Sheikh Javaid*, and General Secretary Youth South Kashmir Najmu Saqib, alongside Zone Presidents Zafrullah Wani, Irfan Najjar, Mateen Ahmed, District President Youth Tariq Ahmed Wani, DDC member Gulzar Ahmed Sheikh, and others.

The meeting underscored the urgency of accelerating the party’s reach-out efforts, emphasizing the necessity of a comprehensive mass contact program. With unanimity, all participants urged Party President Mehbooba Mufti to consider contesting from the South Kashmir Parliamentary seat, recognizing the significance of her candidacy in the region.

Additionally, the event saw the nomination of Showkat Ahmed Khan as Zone President Youth PDP for the Anantnag West constituency. In a show of solidarity, participants adorned the newly appointed Zone President with garlands, extending their heartfelt wishes for his success in fortifying the party’s grassroots presence.
