Pampore encounter: Militant Killed, other surrendered before forces, search on

Sarinagar Nov,06 (PTK) One militant has been killed in an encounter between government forces and militants in Meej Pampore area of South kashmir’s Pulwama district on Friday while as other one surrendered before forces

After hectic efforts of police and army, he accepted the offer and surrendered, he said.

Earlier one militant was killed while as two were civillians were in injured in same operation.

Earlier an official said that a joint team of Police, Army’s 50 RR and CRPF launched a cordon and search operation on specific information about the presence of militants in the area.

He said that as the joint teams of forces approached towards the suspected spot, the hiding militants fired upon them which was retaliated, triggering an encounter.

Meanwhile internet services have been snapped in Awantipora police district as a precautionary measure.(PTK)
