Over 12.5 lakh domiciles issued so far in J&K:- Rohit Kansal

Srinagar September 1 (PTK) The authorities in Jammu and Kashmir have granted 1.25 domicile certificates in around 2 months , even as government has asked Tehsildars to complete the process of issuance in two days.

Rohit Kansal , Spokesman J&K government said So far, over 12.5 lakhs domicile certificates have been granted to the applicants.

Though a period of 10 days has been fixed for issuing a certificate to an applicant, yet we have asked all revenue officers, including Tehsildars, to complete the process within two days.”

He added that 99 percent of those who have received domiciles are the Permanent resident certificate holders.(PTK)
