Online sale of pickles, Jam inaugurated in Ganderbal

Press Trust of Kashmir | Srinagar:- Online sale of pickles ang jams at Amazon were inaugurated in Kangan area of Ganderbal on Wednesday.
An official told the Press Trust of Kashmir News Agency, that wusan Battalion of the Indian Army in collaboration with Sher-e-Kashmir Agricultural University and in alignment with its continuous efforts of empowering the local women of the area with self sustenance and independence, started supporting group of 15 women from Tantray Mohalla, Gund, Kangan sub division, Ganderbal District, who volunteered, to start the Self-Help Group named Sonamarg Food Products, primarily constituted to deliver hygienic & home-made Kashmiri apple jam & pickles, to various parts of India.
The Self Help Group is first its kind in the valley, which is into making Homemade pickles and jams, he said.
The Self-Help Group was registered as Sonamarg Food Products with the FSSAI on 09th Oct 21,he added.

The Self-Help Group in its journey towards self reliance has registered itself on Amazon and started selling its products on the online platform, he added further.
On the occasion Prof(Dr) Nazir Ah. Ganai, VC Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology of Kashmir (SKUAST) visited the self help group and interacted with the females of the Self Help Group and wished them success in all their future endeavours, he added further:- PTK
