One more fraudster arrested in job promise fraud case in Srinagar

Srinagar police constitutes SIT to investigate the case

PRESS TRUST OF KASHMIR SRINAGAR SEP 10:- One more fraudster has been arrested in job promise fraud case in Srinagar taking the toll of total arrested persons to six following which SIT has been formed to investigate this case.

Srinagar police in a tweet said that one more person who is working as orderly in JKPSC and was promising jobs to people has been arrested.

He said that he is 6th person to be arrested in this case and due to larger ramifications SIT has been formed gi investigate this case.

“One more fraudster namely Ashiq Hussain Baba R/o Seeloo Babagund Baramulla arrested in Job promise fraud case of Kothibagh PS. He is working as orderly in JKPSC. He is the 6th person to be arrested in this case. Due to larger ramifications, SIT formed to investigate this case.” Srinagar Police tweeted.

“A Special Investigation Team (SIT) headed by SDPO Kothibagh is hereby constituted with immediate effect in Case FIR No. 73/2022 U/S 420, 468, 120-B IPC of Police Station Kothibagh.” Reads the order.

As per order Mohammad Ishaq, SHO police station Kothibagh, Tariq Ahmad Wani SHO Maisuma, PSI Mushtaq Ahmad In charge PS Kothibagh, ASI Ghulam Ahmad reader to SDPO Kothibagh, Bashir Ahmad P/S Kothibagh and HC Zahoor Ahmad Reader to SP East will be members of the committee.

“The SIT shall take up the investigation of case forthwith and shall ensure submission of timely progress report to undersigned on fortnightly basis till filing of chargesheet.” Order reads.
