Says exhume bodies, hand them over to families for last rites

Srinagar, 18 Nov (PTK):The former chief minister of Jammu and Kashmir and vice president of National Conference party Omar Abdullah on thursday holds a sit-in protest at Sonwar park against civilian killings in hyderpora Srinagar gunfight, says civilian bodies should be exhumed and handed over to their families for final rites.

According to Press trust of Kashmir (PTK) Omar abdullah on thursday leads a sit-in protest alongwith other party leaders at Sonwar park against the civilian killings in hyderpora encounter on sunday evening and denial of handing over of bodies.

Omar Abdullah said while talking with reporters that
i couldn’t control myself after i saw the behavior of JK police with families of house owner Altaf ahmad and Dr Mudasir gul killed in hyderpora Srinagar gunfight, who were protesting at press enclave Srinagar to demand bodies of their kins, so i decided to raise my voice and to join the families in protest.

He adds that the bodies of civilians killed in hyderpora Srinagar gunfight to be exhumed from Handwara and handed over to their families for last rites as Jammu and Kashmir police had itself admitted that the civilians were killed in crossfire. (PTK)
