Nowgam residents reel under darkness’

Srinagar, Apr 01 (PTK): Residents of Nowgam, Bunpora, Hajam Mohalla, Srinagar on Wednesday staged protests against the power crisis in the area.

Residents alleged that the area is reeling under darkness from the past few days while PDD has been making no efforts to restore the electricity in the area.

They also said that their transformer is having a little bit of damage but still they take lot of time to resolve the problem.

“We approached PDD Office Department Chanpora and called many times but they didn’t picked our call and not anybody came here. We also approached Tehsildar south city but nothing happened,” said a resident.

Despite repeated attempts, PDD officials were not available for comments. (PTK)
