Nowbug Larnoo MGNREGA job card holders stage protest, demand release of pending wages on Eid ul Fitr

Anantnag, May 22(PKT): A large number of MGNREGA job card holders held protest and demanded release of their pending wages under MGNREGA Scheme by Rural Development Department (RDD).
MGNREGA job card holders stages protest at Larnoo and raised slogans in favour of their demands. They also said in breng area there are at least 23 blocks in which wages of card holders of 22 blocks has been released and Nowbug Block is still pending.

Demanding release of their pending wages, the Mgnerga Card holders of Nowbug larnoo While talking to media persons, the Auqaaf commitee president said that the works done in last year were using substandard material and in winter session all work mixed with mud . They also appeal to Concerned authorities in future look and investigate properly before disbursed the payments of Constructional Works.

The protestors alleged that some funds under MGNREGA Scheme have been made to some selected persons, who were having hand in glove with the previous concerned authorities.

In this regard when we contacted to Bdo Larnoo Muzaffar Hussain he told whenever Field staff including GRS Techincal Assistant WLW and Panchayat Secretary Submit their report of Constructional Works for funds to Programe officer he will look and investigate thrice for Approval. Bdo larnoo assured locals all works will be done with Standarisation and payments will be disbursed after approval of Proper investigation.(PTK)
