Nocturnal Gunfight breaks out in Pulwama village

Srinagar, 15 Dec (PTK) : A gunfight broke out between militants and governments forces at usgam pathri Rajpura area in south Kashmir’s Pulwama district.

Official sources told Press Trust Of Kashmir (PTK) that a joint team of Police, Army and CRPF launched a Cordon and Search Operation on specific information about the presence of militants in the area.

He said that as the joint team of forces approached towards the suspected spot, the hiding militants fired upon them, which was retaliated, triggering a gunfight.

Meanwhile Kashmir zone police also informed through a tweet that #Encounter has started at Usgam Pathri, Rajpura area of #Pulwama. Police and security forces are on the job. Further details shall follow. @JmuKmrPolice. (PTK)
