Nirav Modi arrested in London

SRINAGAR: Fugitive diamond merchant Nirav Modi was arrested in London on Wednesday in connection with multi-billion fraud that took place at a Mumbai branch of Punjab National Bank.

The move comes after a London court had issued an arrest warrant against Nirav Modi in response to an Enforcement Directorate’s (ED) request for his extradition. He will be produced in the court later in the day.
