National Highway closed for traffic due to landslide

Yatris stopped at Chanderkote

Srinagar July 08 (PTK) The Jammu-Srinagar National Highway was blocked for traffic movement on Friday due to fresh landslides at around six places.

NH-44 has been blocked due to landslides, mudslides and slush at multiple places, it will take 6-7 hours to clear the same, said an official, adding that Yatris have been also stopped at Chanderkote due to blockade of road.

He said that no fresh vehicle shall be allowed from either side till clearance of road.

He further added that Yatra will be allowed to go towards Kashmir only after road will be cleared. (PTK)
