National De-worming day observed in SDH Kangan

Press Trust of Kashmir | Srinagar:-member Kangan Tasmeena Adil today inaugurated National De-worming Day by administering De-worming drug to children.

The Day was organized by Health Department at Sub District Hospital Kangan Ganderbal.

Throwing light on the benefits of school-based Deworming programme, the DDC urged Officers to cover all the schools in the district under this programme as majority of targeted children are available at the schools.

Highlighting the role of teachers in making Deworming campaign success, she urged upon doctors to fulfill their role in this programme with enthusiasm and play a part in giving children a brighter future.

Officials told The Press Trust of Kashmir that, all children aged 1-9 years at schools and Anganwadis will be administered Deworming drug (Albendazole) for improved child health, nutritional status, access to education and quality of life.
