My house got damaged in Khundroo tragedy, haven’t received compensation:- Man from Khundroo

LG administration must intervene

PRESS TRUST OF KASHMIR SRINAGAR NOV 04:- A man from Khundroo area of Anantnag district claimed that his house was damaged in Khundroo tragedy while he is yet to receive compensation.

Bashir Ahmad Hakeem resident of khundroo village in Anantnag district said that he provided house to army during 1990.

During peak militancy in Kashmir Indian army used my house for almost 15 years & in 2005,they vacated from here and my house got damaged, he said

Again a tragedy happened in Indian Army ammunition depot In Khundroo,in which hundreds of houses got completed damaged and scores of people were killed, he said.

Then the government provided 2700 crore relief to the local population and still I am the single person who had not received any amount as my house also got damaged due to bombshell, he said m

I have already submitted documents at all offices including DC office, Tehsil officer but all went in vain, he said.

I also submitted letter to Home Minister of India as well Defense Minister of India in this regard, he said and still waiting for justice.

Now I request to Centre government as well LG administration give me justices as I am waiting since decades for my rights, he said.
