Militant killed in Kausarnag Kulgam encounter, search on :- Police

Press Trust of Kashmir | Srinagar:- A militant has been killed in an encounter in Kausarnag area of Kulgam on Thursday evening

An official said that a joint team of Police, Army and CRPF launched a cordon and search operation on specific information about the presence of militants in the Asthan Marg in Kausarnag area of Kulgam.

He said that as the joint team of forces approached the suspected spot, militants fired upon them which was retaliated triggering an encounter.

He said that during exchange of fire one militant has been killed while search operation is on in the area.

“An #encounter took place at Asthan Marg in general area of #Kausarnag, #Kulgam district in which one #terrorist got killed. Search still going on. Further details shall follow.” Kashmir Police zone tweeted.:- PTK
