Militant killed in encounter in Shopian

SRINAGAR,(PTK): One militant was killed on Friday morning in an encounter with security forces in Shopian district of Jammu and Kashmir.

Police have also recovered arms and ammunition from the site of encounter. The identity of the slain militant is yet to be ascertained, police said.

Kashmir Zone Police tweeted, “In a brief exchange of #fire, 01 #terrorist killed in #Shopian. Arms & ammunition recovered. Identity & #affiliation being ascertained. Information is #preliminary in nature.”
