Mehbooba visits home town, offered prayers at her father’s grave

Sarinagar OCT,15 (PTK) Two days after her release, former chief minister and PDP president on Thursday visited her hometown Bijbehara and offered prayers at her father’s grave.

According to PTK, Eyewitnesses said that Mehbooba was accompanied by several senior leaders of the party while she was offering prayers at her father’s grave.

Mehbooba was released after 14 months on Tuesday after she was detained on 05 August last year.

Penitently this year as she was under detention, Mehbooba couldn’t visit her father’s grave on his death anniversary on 7 January.

Many senior leaders of different parties including NC and PC met Mufti at her residence on Wednesday.

Soon after her release a 83-second audio message on Twitter, Mehbooba had vowed to continue her struggle for the restoration of Article 370 and the resolution of the Kashmir issue. She termed the Centre’s decision of August 5 as a “daylight robbery.”

On Thursday, she will be part of all parties meet and later she will hold press conference as well.(PTK)
