Man arrested for sexually Molesting Minor Boy In Baramulla

SRINAGAR (PTK) : Baramulla Police on Wednesday has arrested a man who allegedly sexually molesting a minor boy in Kreeri area of Baramulla District.

Police Said that, On 13/06/2023 Police Station Kreeri recieved written complaint from one person (name withheld) wherein he stated that on 12/06/2023 his minor son (name withheld) aged about 6 years old was sexually molested by someone and had threatened the victim for not disclosing the incident to anyone due to which the family did not report to Police Station.

To this effect case FIR under sections of IPC & POSCO Act was registered in Police Station Kreeri and investigation started.

In Statement issued to Press Trust of Kashmir that, During investigation after strenuous efforts, the accused was identified as Hashim Tariq Zargar S/O Tariq Ahmad Zargar R/O Sultanpora Kandi A/P Kreeri.

Acting swiftly, Police team led by SI Ehsan Ahmad, Offg. SHO PS Kreeri under the supervision of Sh. Khalid Ashraf-JKPS, SDPO Kreeri arrested the accused involved in the crime and he was taken into custody immediately. Further investigation is in process. (PTK)
