Magam town shuts on forth consecutive day

SRINAGAR,(PTK): A complete shutdown is being observed in Magam town of central Kashmir’s Budgam district om forth consecutive day over rape of a minor in Sumbal village.
All shops and business establishments are closed in the town where as schools located in the town are also shut. However, traffic movement is normal in the town.
An eyewitness said that heavy deployment of government forces has been made almost everywhere in the town to prevent any violence.
Earlier of Sunday, massive clashes erupted between government forces and protestors in the town. These clashes left nearly two dozen youth and many policemen injured among which twenty with pellet injuries were referred to Srinagar.
Pertinently, a three year old girl was allegedly raped by a local youth in Malikpora, Tregam area of Sumbal in North Kashmir’s Bandipora district.
