Light to moderate rain In J&K during next in 24 Hours: MeT
PressTrust of Kashmir | Srinagar : The Meteorological (MeT) department on Tuesday predicted widespread light to moderate rain in Jammu and Kashmir during the next 24 hours.
“Widespread light to moderate rain is likely to occur in J&K during the next 24 hours which will break the current heat wave,” an official of the Met department said.
The weather remained hot and dry in the union territory during the last 24 hours.
Officials said that light to moderate rain occurred at many places of Jammu and Kashmir this morning and still raining lightly.
He said that intermittent light to moderate rain likely to continue at many places of J&K during nxt 24 -36hrs.
He added that there is already lots of water in Local streams, rivers etc. due to melting of glaciers etc.
He added that addition of rain water in these streams often generate flash Flood, mudslide etc and people are advised to remain cautious and avoid venturing near such places which are vulnerable to flash flood etc:-PTK.
