LG Sinha, CM Omar Abdullah Condemn Killing of Migrant Worker in Shopian

 

Srinagar, Oct 19: Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha and Chief Minister Omar Abdullah have strongly condemned the killing of a migrant worker in Shopian district of South Kashmir.

In a post on X, LG Sinha expressed deep sorrow over the killing of Ashok Chauhan, a vendor from Bihar, by terrorists. He vowed that the security forces are committed to bringing the culprits to justice. “I strongly condemn the brutal killing of a vendor Ashok Chauhan in Shopian by cowardly terrorists. The entire nation stands shoulder to shoulder with his family,” Sinha said, adding that the Jammu and Kashmir Police and District Administration have been directed to offer full support to the grieving family.

Omar Abdullah also condemned the attack, labeling it as “abhorrent” and offering his condolences to the victim’s family. “These attacks must be condemned in the strongest possible terms,” he said.

The body of Ashok Chauhan, riddled with bullets, was found on Friday in the Waduna area of Zainapora, Shopian.
