G N Azad must be CM candidate from Congress:- Leaders to high command

Srinagar May 07 (PTK)  Several senior Congress leaders of Kashmir on Saturday were part of meeting with Congress national secretary Rajni Patel in which they demanded that Gh Nabi Azad must be CM candidate of congress for J&K in coming elections

Senior Congress Leader G N Monga who was part of the meeting told PTK that besides discussing all current issues of Jammu and Kashmir, a strong voice was raised that Gh Nabi Azad must be CM Candidate in coming elections.

We discussed delimitation report which is totally unacceptable besides that the development claims of government are no where existing on ground due to which people of J&K have been suffering, he said.

All participants raised voice that we all are with Congress and have full confidence on the leadership of Congress including Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi, he said, adding, the period when Gh Nabi Azad was CM of J&K was historical in terms of development and after that under all governments people have been suffering and there is need to announce him CM candidate again so that he can get elected again and people who have been suffering can heave a sigh of relief.

We are hopeful that General secretary will bring all these issues in notice of party high command so that they can announce Azad as CM candidate which will be beneficial for whole J&K, he added.

Besides G N Monga prominent among who were part of the meeting include Peerzada Mohammad Sayeed, Mohammad Anwar Bhat, Mohammad Amin Bhat, Zahid Hussain Jan, Fayaz Ahmad Dar, Imtiyaz Parry, Nazir Ahmad Lone,Shafiq Shabnam, Farooq Ahmad Sheikh and others. (PTK)
