Jmu-Sgr highway continues to remain closed for traffic for third consecutive day
Restoration work going on:- Officials, Mughal road through for traffic
Press Trust of Kashmir | Srinagar:- The Jammu-Srinagar national highway remained closed for third consecutive day on Thursday due to which hundreds of vehicles are stranded on it.
An official said that road has been closed due to multiple landslides in Ramban and Udhampur districts .
“Restoration work on NH44 is going on at Dewal Bridge, T2 tunnel, Maroge 1 (Sita Ram Passi) Maroge 2, Battery Chashma and hopefully these locations may get cleared by today evening,” said senior superintendent of Police, traffic (national highway), Shabir Ahmad Malik.
He said that presently there is no movement on the national highway and Doda-Kishtwar road.
Meanwhile an official said that slides on Mughal road have been cleared and is through for traffic.:-PTK.
