JKECC President conducts full kashmir Foot March
Aim is to spread awareness on drug abuse, press for restoration of OPS
Press Trust Of Kashmir Srinagar Dec 24:- A foot march lead by Shah Fayaz is being conducted across kashmir so as to aware people about ill effects of drug addiction and to press for restoration of old pension scheme.
Shah Fayaz President JkECC ( J&K employees coordination committee), Chairman Jk Teachers Association and National convener AIPRUF has started foot march from Kupwara which is expected to end on January 02 at Srinagar with an aim to spread awareness on drug abuse and for restoration of old pension scheme.
Shah Fayaz said that around 50 teachers and other employees are part of his March while he is joined by hundreds of teachers and other employees in all districts wherever he reaches.
Actually we started from Kupwara on 14th December, followed by Baramulla and then concluded first phase at Sumbal Bandipora after going through the district, he said.
In second, we started from Anantnag on 20th December, followed by Kulgam, Shopian and concluded at Pulwama, he said.
He said that third phase will start from Ganderbal, which will go through Budgam and will conclude in Srinagar on January 02.
He said that this was purely a foot march and hundreds of teachers and other employees joined us and became part of march for hours to days.
Our main aim is to create awareness about drug menace which has engulfed whole Kashmir as around 6 lakh people mainly below 30 years of age are using drugs, he said.
It is our message to society to join hands so as to get rid of this menace, he said, adding that we have also requested government to restore old pension scheme.
