PTK News Desk
In response to the upcoming Lok Sabha Election 2024 and the Joint Entrance Examination (Main) 2024, the Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education (JKBOSE) has announced the rescheduling of annual regular exams for class 11 in soft zone areas and classes 10, 11, and 12 in hard zone areas.
The decision, communicated through a notification by the BOSE Director Academics, follows directives from the Joint Chief Electoral Officer of Jammu and Kashmir, urging the board to ensure that exam dates do not clash with the election schedule.
Acknowledging the importance of accommodating students’ concerns, JKBOSE mentioned receiving multiple representations requesting rescheduling of board exams due to the overlapping dates with other examinations.
As a result, the rescheduled exams for class 11 annual regular 2024 in soft zone areas and classes 10, 11, and 12 annual regular 2024 exams in hard zone areas will now take place on revised dates. These examinations will be conducted in two sessions, namely morning and evening shifts.
The move aims to alleviate any potential conflicts for students and ensure a smooth examination process amidst the concurrent schedules of important events. It reflects JKBOSE’s commitment to prioritizing the academic interests and well-being of students in the region.
With the revised exam schedule in place, students and educational stakeholders can now prepare accordingly, with the assurance that their academic pursuits will be conducted in a conducive and organized manner.
