J&K Police arrests drug peddler in Sopore; Psychotropic substance recovered

February 26(PTK): In its continued efforts to curb drug trafficking and eliminate the menace of narcotics from society, J&K Police arrested a drug peddler in Sopore and recovered Psychotropic substance from his possession.

A police party of Police Station Sopore, intercepted a suspicious individual during naka checking at Chachu Mode, Iqbal Nagar Sopore. He has been identified as Umar Tariq Dar, son of Tariq Ahmad Dar, resident of Mumkak, Batpora Sopore. Upon personal search, Spasmoproxyvon Plus capsules and Alprazolam tablets were recovered and seized as per due procedure. The accused was arrested and accordingly, a case vide FIR No. 38/2026 has been registered at Police Station Sopore and investigation has been initiated.
