J&K heading towards development, militancy at its last stage:- Manoj Sinha

Security forces being provoked to set base for protests

Press Trust of Kashmir | Srinagar :  Militants are targeting the killings of members from the minority community were aimed to provoke security forces to commit a mistake so that people can hit streets in protest, LG Manoj Sinha said on Saturday.

Police and security forces won’t touch any innocent and instead continue to wipe out militancy from J&K, he said in Kulgam.

He said that militancy is on last stage in J&K and attacking innocents is act of desperation and they are targeting people to provoke forces.

At the end of financial year 2021-2022, J&K’s tax collection increased. “We recorded 24 per cent increase in GST collection, 30 per cent growth in excise duty, 56 per cent growth in duty and 25.33 per cent growth. J& is selling cheapest petrol and diesel,” the LG said.

All efforts are on to develop every part of J&K and it is being ensured that all funds are reaching to ground level, he said, adding that funds coming form Delhi were not utilised in previous governments.:-PTK.
