Indian Army Reinforces Deployments in Jammu Region Amid Infiltration Threats

NEW DELHI, July 19: In response to recent infiltration of highly trained Pakistani terrorists in the Jammu region, the Indian Army is realigning its deployments based on intelligence inputs and evolving security needs.
The Army has deployed approximately 500 Para Special Forces commandos to track down an estimated 50-55 terrorists from Pakistan, who have reportedly infiltrated the region to reignite terrorism, according to defence sources. Intelligence agencies have also intensified their operations to dismantle the terrorist support network, including overground workers aiding the terrorists.
Additionally, the Army has mobilized a brigade comprising 3,500-4,000 personnel to counter Pakistan’s proxy aggression. Ground commanders are formulating strategies to locate and neutralize the terrorists, who are reportedly equipped with advanced weaponry and communication tools.
The existing counter-terrorist framework in the region includes two Rashtriya Rifles forces—Romeo and Delta—along with other regular infantry divisions, reinforcing the Army’s commitment to maintaining security and stability in the area.
