Indian Army Celebrates Raksha Bandhan with School Kids in Kashmir

SRINAGAR : Assam Rifles of Indian Army, in its continued effort to strengthen bonds with the local community, celebrated the auspicious festival of Raksha Bandhan with school children in Kangan.

The event was marked by joy, warmth, and the spirit of unity, reflecting the Army’s commitment to fostering peace and harmony in the region.
The celebration took place at various schools across the Valley, where Army personnel were greeted with traditional Rakhis by the students. The event was organized to not only celebrate the festival but also to build trust and camaraderie between the Army and the local populace.

The school children, dressed in their colorful attire, tied Rakhis on the wrists of the soldiers, symbolizing the bond of protection and brotherhood. In return, the soldiers distributed sweets and gifts, bringing smiles to the faces of the young students.
