Press Trust of Kashmir | Srinagar :  India raised the issue of drone activities in Jammu with Pakistan during the meeting of the Border Security Forces.

According to officials, in this meeting of the Sector Commander level of the Border Security Force and Pakistan Rangers, India also expressed strong objection to the drone activities of Pakistani officials in the Jammu region.

A spokesman of the Border Security Force said that this commander-level meeting between the two countries took place on the request of Pakistan Rangers along the International Border in Suchetgarh area.

It was decided in the meeting that whenever required ‘Instant Communication’ between the field commanders would be resumed so that operational issues could be resolved.

He said that in this meeting between the commanders of the two border security forces, the BSF mainly raised issues related to Pakistani drone activities, extremist activities, digging of tunnels from across the border and border management.

Apart from this, representatives of both sides also discussed other issues.

According to officials, BSF representatives lodged a strong protest against the drone activities of Pakistani officials in the Jammu region.

Apart from this, both sides also expressed their commitment to maintain peace and mutual harmony along the border.

“This was the first sector commander-level meeting between the border security forces on both sides since the DGMO announced the ceasefire agreement in February,” a BSF spokesperson said.

He said that the meeting between the two sides took place in a cordial and positive atmosphere.(PTK).
