Illicit timber recovered at Pakherpora,accused arrested:- Police

PRESS TRUST OF KASHMIR BUDGAM JULY 23:-Budgam Police recovered 04 logs of illicit forest timber and arrested an accused person involved in the commission of crime.

An official said that acting on an information regarding timber smuggling, a police party of Police Post Pakherpora intercepted a vehicle (ZIP Excel,Chota Haathi) bearing registration number JK13E-6604 near Petrol Pump Pakherpora driven by one person namely Syed Mukhtar Ahmad Indrabi son of Syed Mehraj-u-Din Indrabi Resident of Thokerpora Pulwama.

He said that during checking of said vehicle 04 logs of illicit forest timber was recovered and vehicle used in the commission of crime has also been seized

Case FIR Number 69/2022*l under relevant sections of law has been registered at Police Station Charar-e-Sharief and investigation into the matter is initiated, he added
