Police arrests an offender and seizes 01 vehicle in Budgam
Press trust Of Kashmir Srinagar September 28: Acting tough against the elements involved in illegal extraction and transportation of minerals, Police have arrested a person & seized a vehicle in Budgam.
Police party of PS Chadoora intercepted 01 dumper loaded with illegally extracted soil at Magraypora Chadoora, which he had extracted from Government land at Magraypora. The driver was arrested and the Dumper was also seized on spot. The arrested driver has been identified as Suhail Abbas Sofi son of Ashiq Hussain Sofi resident of Rakh Shalina Tengen.

Accordingly, a case vide FIR number 162/2022 under relevant sections of law have been registered in Police Station Chadoora and investigation has been initiated.
Persons found indulging in illegal mining activities shall be dealt as per law. Community members are requested to share information regarding the crimes in their neighbourhood with their concerned police units.
