IGP traffic Reviews Amarnath Yatra arrangements

SRINAGAR, (PTK): Alok Kumar, IGP Traffic J&K alongwith  SP traffic Rural Mr Muzaffar Ahmad Shah  and other traffic officials visited Qazigund, Toll Post, Lower munda, Zig, old Banihal road, JT as well as Shaitani Nallah to review the traffic arrangements in connection with forthcoming Amarnath Ji Yatra.

IGP traffic interacted with a number of Yatris at Shaitani nallah & obtained feed back about the traffic arrangements put in place so as to ensure smooth flow of traffic on NH44, he advised the yatris to follow traffic advisories in letter & spirit so that their transit is hassel free.

He also visited Qazigund, Toll post, Zig as well as Jawahar Tunnel where he interacted with a large no of locals as well as tourists also. He advised them to follow traffic rules & regulations in toto, besides listening to their issues & concerns also.

He also visited the old Banihal road where trucks are being parked so as to keep the NH44 free of parked vehicles, besides assessing its carrying capacity as well as its use in case of contingencies.

He issued necessary directions on spot to the officials accompanying him so as to achieve a smooth flow of traffic on NH44 in this sector, especially in view of the ongoing SANJY 2019.
