ICDS anganwadi Workers of kangan block Stage Protest, Demand Release Of Pending Salaries

Ganderbal Jan, 01 (PTK)  ICDS anganwadi workers of block kangan on Thursday demanded the release of salary which is pending from the last several months stating that constant delay in the release of their honorarium has made their life tough.

They assembled here at kangan and protest against the ICDS department, said that ICDS Department and threatened to intensify their protests if the government did not meet their demands.

We are working in the department from last many years but are still facing numerous difficulties as we have not received our full salaries/honourium since 2018,” said a Rukiya protesting ICDS worker.

“From election duty to pulse polio, we are doing all kinds of groundwork, but when it comes to our basic rights, we are always ignored,” said an Anganwadi worker who was part of a protest. (PTK)
