ICDS anganwadi Workers of kangan block Stage Protest, Demand Release Of Pending Salaries

Ganderbal Jan, 21(PTK): ICDS anganwadi workers of block kangan on Thursday in front of SDM office kangan, blocked national highway and demanding the release of salary which is pending from the last several months stating that constant delay in the release of their honorarium has made their life tough.

Sources told the Press trust of Kashmir,They assembled inICDS anganwadi Workers of kangan block Stage Protest, Demand Release Of Pending Salaries front of SDM office kangan and blocked national highway at kangan and protest against the ICDS department, said that ICDS Department and threatened to intensify their protests if the government did not meet their demands.

One of the Anganwadi worker told the press Trust Of Kashmir that We are working in the department from last many years but are still facing numerous difficulties as we have not received our full salaries/honourium since 2018,

“From election duty to pulse polio, we are doing all kinds of groundwork, but when it comes to our basic rights, we are always ignored,” said an Anganwadi worker who was part of a protest.

Later on SDM Kangan and SHO kangan assured them that their pending wages will be released soon, following which Anganwadi workers dispersed from the scene. (PTK)
