SRINAGAR: Over the next three days, residents of the Kashmir Plains should brace for an intensifying heatwave, with temperatures expected to reach as high as 36°C. Areas particularly at risk include Srinagar and Kupwara, where the chances of hitting this peak are highest.

Other districts like Budgam and Pulwama will also see significant temperature rises, approaching the 36°C mark. Meanwhile, Kulgam, Shopian, Anantnag, Bandipora, and Baramulla are forecasted to experience temperatures exceeding 35°C during this period.

The dry and hot weather is expected to persist across most areas in the Kashmir Valley, contributing to the heatwave’s severity.
