SPOs disengaged, departmental inquiry ordered

Jammu Nov, 07 (PTK) The police authorities here in Jammu’s Udhampur district have placed under suspension the Incharge naka of Manwal naka point of Udhampur Dhar road besides disengagement of two Special Police Officers and departmental inquiry against Station House Officer after a video went viral on social media in which some cops can be seen collecting money on the name of entry from truckers.

Deputy Inspector General of Police, Udhampur Reasi range, Sujit Kumar said that we have taken serious cognizance of video regarding entry collection at naka.

” I/C naka is hereby placed under suspension with SPOs visible in the video are disengaged from the services with immediate effect.” DIG said.

He added that a departmental enquiry has also been initiated against SHO.(PTK)
