Handwara encounter: Another CRPF personnel succumbs to injuries
SRINAGAR, (PTK): One CRPF personnel, who sustained injuries during the ongoing encounter in Handwara, succumbed to his injuries on Sunday.
Four security personnel, including two CRPF inspectors and two officers of the Jammu and Kashmir Police, were earlier killed during the encounter with militants.
The gunfight in Handwara entered the third day on Sunday. Five other security personnel were also injured during the encounter, which broke out at Babagund area of Kralgand in the district on Friday (March 1).
A search operation was underway in the area as the operation continues. The security forces had received information about the presence of militants in the area. (PTK)
