Gunfight starts in Tral area

Awantipora, 25 Dec (PTK): Gunfight has started between militants and government forces in Hardumir Tral area in South Kashmir’s Pulwama district on Saturday.

Official sources told Press Trust Of Kashmir (PTK) that a joint of team of Jammu and Kashmir police, Army and CRPF launched a cordon and search operation following credible inputs of militants movement in the area.

As the joint team of forces approached towards the suspected spot, the hiding militants fired upon the forces, triggering off a gunfight.

A senior police officer also confirmed to Press trust of Kashmir (PTK) about exchange of firing between militants and government forces.(PTK).
