Gund-dachina link roads in shambles; Locals appeal DC B’pora to intervene

Bandipora, June 24(PTK): The residents of Gund-dachina Bandipora are up in arms against the district administration for failing to repair the Gund-dachina link roads from decades subjecting the residents of villages to extreme hardships due to the dilapidated condition of the roads.

The locals said that the 2-kilometers stretch of road from main Gund-dachina to upper area is in shambles and dotted with potholes giving trouble to the travelers. The road also leads to strategic famous ziyarat shareef.

Locals said that the distance that can be covered in five minutes is covered in more than half an hour owing to potholes all over the road.

Ab Hamid a local of the Gund-dachina village said the condition of the link roads is in deplorable condition and it is painful for us especially patients and pregnent ladies. Residents urge the Deputy Commissioner Bandipora to look into the matter on priority basis.(PTK)
