Govt issues traffic advisory in view of Bharat Jodo Yatra

Srinagar January, 28 (PTK) In view of the Bharat Jodo Yatra traffic department has been issued an advisory.

“In view of the (BJY) led by Shri Rahul Gandhi, Ex. President Indian National Congress and Hon’ble Member of Parliament Lok Sabha on 29th January 2023 at Sher-i-Kashmir Cricket Stadium Sonwar Srinagar, the diversions shall be enforced for 29th January 2023 for smooth flow of traffic.” Reads an advisory.

“No traffic shall be allowed from Panthachowk towards Dalgate, all motorists shall use NHW-Nowgam-Natipora-Nowgam-Sanatnagar-Hyderpora Bypass to reach to their destinations, No traffic shall be allowed from Kohnkhan Dalgate towards Panthachowk. Motorists shall use Khonakhan-SRTC Bridge-Sangermal Road to reach to their destinations, All motorists shall adopt M.A Road/Residency Road/HSHS/Jahangir Chowk flyover-Rambagh-Natipora or Baghat-Sanatnagar route to reach their respective destinations, No vehicle will be allowed from Radio Kashmir, Konhakhan, Dalgate, Hotel Lalit, and Nishat towards Nehrupark, No vehicle shall be allowed from Brein Nishat towards Boulevard-Gupkar Road. All motorists shall adopt Nishat-Foreshore -Habbak route to reach to their destinations.” It reads.

General Public/Tourists are requested to adopt alternative routes to reach the Srinagar Airport to avoid any inconvenience. Commuters are requested to plan their movement accordingly as the diversion will be in place for 29th January 2023. Road stretch from Panthachowk upto Dalgate, Dalgate upto Nishat via Nehrupark, Gupkar road are declared as “No Parking Zones”. Unattended vehicles parked on roadside shall be towed.” It adds further.
