GOI has made its criminal agenda behind scrapping J&K’s special status clear: Mehbooba Mufti

Srinagar, 20 Dec (PTK): Former Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister and Peoples Democratic Party(PDP) President Mehbooba Mufti said that Government of India has made its criminal agenda behind scrapping J&K’s special status clear and bringing the Army to interfere into civilian matters has exposed GOI’s fake good governance narrative in Jammu and Kashmir.

According to Press trust of Kashmir (PTK) Former Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister and Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) President Mehbooba Mufti wrote on her official twitter handle that “GOI has made its criminal agenda behind scrapping J&Ks special status clear. Motive behind state sponsored loot of our natural resources – illegal auction of sand mining to outsiders, conversion of agricultural land to privatizing power transmission is to plunge J&K into chaos.”

In another tweet, she wrote that “Bringing the Army into such matters has further exposed their fake good governance narrative & ensure that people here live in perpetual fear of the jackboot. Such harebrained tactics & policies will only deepen the sense of alienation & suffocation that people of J&K feel.”

Notably, Late last evening specialized teams of Military Engineering Services (MES) have been taken to power grid stations across Jammu zone and started their efforts to restore electricity as the employees of Power Development Department (PDD) went on strike for reversal of government decision to privatise assets, regularisation of daily wage power employees in Jammu and Kashmir.
