PTK NEWS DESK

Ghulam Nabi Azad, the veteran politician and head of the Democratic Progressive Azad Party (DPAP), has decided to refrain from campaigning for the party’s candidates in the upcoming Jammu and Kashmir Assembly elections. Citing health reasons, Azad has informed DPAP candidates that he will not be able to participate actively in the campaign.

Azad has urged the candidates to assess their ability to continue without his physical presence, acknowledging the potential impact on their electoral prospects. He has also given them the liberty to withdraw from the race if they feel his absence could significantly affect their chances of success.

Despite Azad’s decision, DPAP candidates are gearing up to contest in various constituencies across the region, as the party seeks to make its mark in the Jammu and Kashmir political landscape. The elections will be closely watched, given the significance of Azad’s leadership in the region.
