GANDERBAL POLICE SEIZES ILLICIT TIMBER (DEODAR) AND ARRESTED SMUGGLERS.
In this connection FIR No. 22/2021 under section 379/ IPC, 26 I F Act has been registered at Police Station Lar and investigation was taken up.

Press Trust of Kashmir | Ganderbal : Acting on a tip-off about illegal timber being smuggled, Police party of Police Station Lar led by SHO PS Lar SI Ghulam Mohiuddin under the close supervision of DySP Headquarters Ganderbal laid a naka at Benhama crossing and intercepted a vehicle carrying illicit timber in the shape of two deodar logs .The timber-laden Tata Mobile bearing registration No. JK01T-4087 vehicle was seized on spot and 02 timber smugglers identified as 1. Imtiyaz Ahmad Khan S/O Mohammad Sulaiman khan R/O Nunnar 2. Mushtaq Ahmad Wani S/O Abdul Rahim Wani R/O Badergund Ganderbal were arrested.
In this connection FIR No. 22/2021 under section 379/ IPC, 26 I F Act has been registered at Police Station Lar and investigation was taken up.
People of the area hailed such action and reaffirmed their faith on Police.(PTK).
