Ganderbal achieves 100% vaccination of population over 45 years age, Becomes 2nd district in Kashmir to achieve target
PRESS TRUST OF KASHMIR | GANDERBAL: The district Ganderbal has become the second district in Kashmir division to achieve the cent percent vaccination target of all above 45 age group with at least the first dose of Covid-19 inoculation.
This was revealed by Deputy Commissioner (DC) Ganderbal, Kritika Jyotsna today during a press conference held here at the Conference Hall of Mini Secretariat.

She said that achieving the target of vaccinating all above 45 age group is a big achievement for which she complemented the health care workers, PRIs besides other front line workers who have visited door to door to counsel people about the need of vaccination.
While elaborating on arrangements put in place for achieving vaccination targets, she said that over 68440 persons over 45 years of age are given their first dose in the district. She said that 94 vaccination sites were established to achieve the target adding that all these sites are still active.
The DC appreciated the Sarpanchs, Panchs, Tehsildars and BDOs for doing commendable job of mobilization in their respective areas to achieve the cent percent vaccination target.(PTK)

Briefs media on Covid containment measures in the district
PRESS TRUST OF KASHMIR |KUPWARA : The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kupwara, Imam Din today said that the sampling has been intensified across the district to identify and isolate the positive cases to break the Covid chain.
The DC said this while addressing the media persons here to brief them about the status of Covid-19, Covid containment measures in the district.

Divulging the details, the DC said that the positive rate of cases has come down to 10.1 percent in the district adding that sampling is being continuously increased to know the positive trend of Covid cases. He said that 1718 patients are currently under home isolation in the district.
The DC rejected the wrong notion about Covid vaccines being spread on social media and said that the people who take the vaccine, produce more immunity against the Covid. He appealed to the people to continue following the Covid appropriate behavior by wearing masks, maintaining social distance and using sanitizers.

He also said that 385 Covid Care Centres are being established in the district, adding that 85 such Centres have been activated till 12 Noon today in the district. He informed that rest of the Covid Care Centres shall be established within 2 days.(PTK).
