Four including arrested militant killed in Kupwara encounter

Press Trust of Kashmir | Srinagar :-   Four militants including an arrested militant was killed in ongoing gunfight in Lolab area of Kupwara district, police said on Monday.

A police official said that a joint team of Police, Rashtriya Rifles and CRPF launched cordon and search operation in Lolab area following specific information about the presence of some militants in the area.

As the forces intensified the searches, militant hiding in the area opened fire, leading to a gunfight, he said.

He added that four militants including an arrested militant showkat Ahmad has been killed.
