Four dead while cleaning a well at Dardpora area of Kupwara

Kupwara July 2(PTK)Four people died while cleaning a Well at Dardpora area of north Kashmir’s Kupwara district on Thursday.

According to PTK, Reporter ,that a labourer namely Mohd Altaf Sheikh was engaged in cleaning a well in warsun Dardpora area of kralpora kupwara, while he was cleaning all of a sudden he died due to the inert gases coming out of the well.

While three other people who were also working outside the well tried to rescue him, namely Mumtaz Ahmad, Altaf Khan and Showket Ahmad khan who went into the well in an attempt to rescue him also died due to the impact of the gas and according to locals Altaf khan and Showkat Ahmad are brothers.

They added that all the labourers died due to suffocation and they were rushed to the nearby hospital where they were declared brought dead on arrival.(PTK)
