Four commercial buildings gutted in Anantnag blaze

Srinagar, 08 Jan (PTK) : Four commercial buildings were gutted in a devastating fire incident at Naibasti Anantnag during the intervening night of Friday-Saturday .

Reports reaching Press trust of Kashmir (PTK) that fire broke out in one of the commercial structure (Godown of businessman) in congested Naibasti locality at around 11: 45 Pm and soon engulfed to the nearby structures .

Soon after noticing the flames locals neighbours rushed out of their houses and called fire and emergency department.

In the meantime, fire tenders rushed to the spot to douse the flames before any further damage could be caused, an officials said.

They said no one was injured in the incident and the cause of fire is yet to be ascertained.

Meanwhile police have taken cognizance of the incident and started further investigation in this regard. (PTK).
